§ Mr. MacleanTwo applications for product licences in respect of non-organophosphorous compounds for sheep treatment were submitted to the veterinary medicines directorate in January 1990 and August 1990 respectively. Licences are issued under the Medicines Act only once a product has been demonstrated to be safe, of sound quality, and effective. We are unable to say when decisions on determining these applications will be taken.
